WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT OUR HOME

We have thoroughly enjoyed living in this house for the last 21 years. It has been a fantastic place for us, and it is with some sadness that we leave this quiet neighborhood behind to move closer to our kids, grandkids and great-grandkids in our retirement.

We have made many happy memories here. The double lot, the 20’X20’ deck and fenced yard we built have allowed us to host many parties, get-togethers, and barbecues. We have lovingly tended the landscaping to give flowering enjoyment throughout the spring, summer, and fall.

We have improved this property significantly over our years here. We removed walls in the living room/dining room/kitchen to give the house the beautiful open feel so sought-after these days. We have renovated the main floor and upstairs bathrooms and added a third full bath in the finished basement. We installed a full-size kitchen in the basement with a family room (with a fireplace), which could serve perfectly as an in-law studio, or, is just a great place for the family to get together to watch TV or play games.

Skokie is a wonderful place to raise a family, with outstanding schools and so many amenities. It is close to downtown Chicago, there are 44 parks, a vibrant arts community and over 130 restaurants. One thing we have particularly appreciated has been that this is the only city that we know of that removes the snow from the sidewalks and alleys if there has been 5+ inches of snow.

This home has been a great place for all the years that we have enjoyed it. Our fervent wish is that the family that decides to buy this house will be able to enjoy all the benefits we have enjoyed over the years and will make many happy memories here.
